AnNUAL GENERAL MEeting

The meeting is to be held in accordance with part 4 of the Fitzroy Doncaster Cricket Club Constitution.


Business:

  • Apologies and proxies.
  • Confirmation of minutes of the 38th Annual General Meeting.
  • To consider and if thought fit, receive and adopt the Annual Report and Financial Report of the Association and the Report of the Auditor for the financial year ending 30 April 2026.
  • Resignations and Elections of Ordinary members of the Committee.
  • Election of Office Bearers.
  • Appointment of Auditor for 2026-2027.
  • Appointment of Child Safety Officer and Complaints Officer
  • General Business.


Nominations for Ordinary Members of the Committee:

A nomination form (attached) must be completed in order to be considered for Ordinary Member of the Committee. Nominations must be lodged no later than Wednesday 08 July 2026 with the Secretary. Completed forms can be sent via email to the Secretary

(secretary@fitzdonccc.onmicrosoft.com).


Proxies:

A member of the Association entitled to attend and vote at the Annual General Meeting has the right to appoint a proxy. For the appointment of a proxy to be effective for the meeting, written notification must be lodged at least 24 hours before the meeting with the Secretary. Notification can be in the form of an email to the Secretary (secretary@fitzdonccc.onmicrosoft.com).

VALE PETER RYAN

The Club was saddened to hear of the passing of Peter Ryan, who played 10 seasons at Fitzroy between 1968-69 and 1982-83 as a top-order batsman. Peter played 84 games, making 1,847 runs at 22.80 with a highest score of 85. Peter also played some seasons in Queensland, where he played 3 first-class games, including making 63 against the touring Englishmen in 1970-71.


A Requiem Mass will be held at St Kevin's Catholic Church, 26-44 Herlihy's Rd, Templestowe Lower, at 10:30 am, tomorrow, Friday 12 June. Some additional information is attached.
